With eyes closed and features partially absorbed by the painted surface, the figure occupies an uncertain space between presence and disappearance.
Earthy browns, rust, muted pink and black move through pale turquoise and soft mineral tones, while loose brushstrokes repeatedly cross the boundaries of the face. Areas of definition sit beside passages where skin, background and pigment become almost indistinguishable, giving the composition a continuous sense of formation and release.
Intimate and quietly transformative, Limen resists resolving whether the figure is disappearing or taking shape. Instead, it holds both movements at once: boundaries soften, familiar forms become permeable, and something new seems capable of emerging from what is being released.
