FLOR DA PELE
What lies beneath comes to the surface.
À Flor da Pele is an expressive figurative art print in which a human face emerges through dense layers of pigment, texture and fractured linework. Warm flesh tones, rust and muted grey meet an expanse of deep black, while fine traces of turquoise, red and yellow travel across the skin like exposed nerves or delicate pathways beneath its surface.
Cracked textures spread across the forehead, eye and cheek, blurring the distinction between skin and painted matter. The face remains composed and intensely present, creating a tension between its outward stillness and the intricate network of marks that seems to reveal something more sensitive underneath.
Raw yet restrained, À Flor da Pele brings surface and interior unusually close together. Its tactile layers, exposed markings and shifts between darkness and flesh evoke that particular state in which sensation and emotion sit just beneath the surface — close enough to become visible.

Your print is created on demand after you place your order. This means that production may take a little longer, but it also allows us to avoid unnecessary stock and reduce overproduction.
Thank you for choosing a more thoughtful way of bringing art into your home.
Each print preserves the fractured linework, subtle colour variations and heavily textured surface of the original artwork, allowing its fine cracks and layered material character to remain beautifully visible in reproduction.
Please note: colours may vary slightly depending on your screen and the production location.
